"Iceland in a nutshell"
On this tours we go from Reykjavik, heading west by the old main road via the beautiful fjord Hvalfjörður (Whalefjord) with an option of taking stopover at a local farm for a warm cup of coffee and traditional refreshments. We drive through the small delightful historical town Borgarnes before we take a turn north to the peninsula where we will find small fishing villages, magnificent landscape and the powerful glacier Snæfellsjökull located in the national park. Snæfellsjökull is also known around the world for being the setting of Jules Verne´s „Journey to the Center of the Earth“. On the way we will see a landscape with old lava covered with moss and beautiful black sandy beaches with rocky surroundings and the ruff north Atlantic ocean all around. We stop in the beautiful village of Stykkishólmur with its colorful houses and magnificent surroundings for a lunch. We visit the magical Djúpalónssandur, Arnarstapi, Hellnar, Dritvík, get a sip from the magic spring water at Ölkelda, drive up to the glacier roots and enjoy the magnificent view from there. We will also stop by at the famous shark museum at Bjarnarhöfn. On our way home we drive through the sea tunnels to Reykjavik.
If the weather conditions are good it is optional to go by a "snow cat" up to the top of the glacier. This tour is private so it can be changeable from time to time, due to your wishes and interests.

This tour has a light walk and is suitable for most people.
Kids are welcome and the tour can easily be adjusted to kids at any age.
